Abstract
This research addresses a critical issue in Indian healthcare– the lack of transparent communication between hospitals and patients’ relatives, often leading to mistrust and unrest. We propose a conceptual Android app designed using cognitive science principles to bridge this gap. The app provides real-time updates on a patient’s condition, medications, lab tests, and expenses, aiming to foster trust by ensuring accessible, day-to-day information. Based on observational research, including hospital visits and interviews, the app focuses on the end-user interface for patient relatives. While this prototype covers the user-facing side, future work can extend to backend integration and performance evaluation through usability testing.
